Accessories
Gearboxes, sensors, and linear units are selected per project. Each page gives the function, selection, standard models, and order code.

Three accessory groups
Open a group name for its overview. The eight planetary models and the standard sensor expand in the left column.
Gearboxes
Planetary PF / ZPF, 60 and 80 flange, one page each for stage 1 and stage 2. Worm NMRV040 / 075 for 60 / 80 flanges.
Sensors
Slotted photoelectric sensors for home and limits. The standard unit is SX674-WR: 5 mm slot, NPN, 1 m cable. Other outlines are matched to the bracket.
Linear motion
Rails guide the motion (OSGG · ISGG). Belt stages cover long, fast travel (40B–80). XY, gantry, and screw combinations are configured per project.
Cables
Cables are supplied with the motor by length. The length step is written into the order code and selected in the configurator.
| Cable | Length steps | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Stepper motor cable | 1M 2M 3M 4M 5M 8M 10M 15M 20M | 1M is the usual default. If the length is not fixed, write NULL. Do not substitute 20M. |
| Servo power cable | Same as above | Conductor size follows motor power |
| Encoder cable | Same as above | Incremental and absolute interfaces differ. Match the cable to the motor on the order. |
| Servo brake cable | Same as above | 24 V power-off brake. Select it with a brake motor for a vertical axis or when position must hold after power off. The order code uses SC. |
| Extension / drag chain / high-flex | Per project | State length, route, and whether the cable enters a drag chain. |
Connector data (AMP part and pins) is on integrated servo drive · mounting table.
From the function back to the part
Each accessory maps to functions in the software. The full map is XMatrix functions × MSP hardware.
| What you need to do | Part to add | Where to read |
|---|---|---|
| Find home after power-up | SX674-WR ×1 (home) | SX674-WR |
| Keep the mechanism off the hard ends | SX674-WR ×2 (positive and negative limits), or software limits only | Sensors |
| Hold a vertical load when power is off | Brake motor + 24 V relay + brake cable | Integrated servo drive · Integrated stepper drive |
| More torque and lower speed from the motor | Planetary or worm gearbox | Planetary · NMRV |
| Move the load a long distance in a straight line | Belt stage; use a dual-shaft rail if you only need guidance | Linear motion |
| Connect the motor to the drive | Cable (stepper cable, or servo power cable + encoder cable) | Cables, above on this page |
Selection and ordering
Prepare the project conditions in this order:
- Fix the drive and motor first. The three drives and their motors are the configurator default. Cable length is selected with them.
- Then list the software functions. Home, limits, brake, DMX, and multi-axis cascade each map to a specific accessory.
- Write five constraints. Axis count, travel, load and center of gravity, mounting, speed, and accuracy.
- Include the motor and drive model. Gearbox input flange, sensor wiring, and stage connection all depend on those two.
